File-based bulk payments. Users can now upload CSV and XML files with up to 100 transfers to be paid by their Friday Finance account. If there are future execution dates for some entries, those payments will be scheduled and effectuated accordingly. The new feature is a massive improvement in payables management, as it allows for better handling of multiple suppliers, employee salaries, or refunds, for example.
Employees as cardholders. Account administrators can now add employees as simple cardholders. Simple card holders can start using Friday Cards immediately without lengthy verification processes, as they are not allowed to view and manage the business account.
Instant payments. All payments and transfers from your Business Account are now instant. This means that, as long as the recipient’s bank allows it – most European institutions do, the money you send will arrive within seconds. Friday Finance will perform a standard SEPA transfer if an instant payment is not supported by the recipient bank.
Simplified Cards overview. The Cards tab default filter is now set only to show Active and Frozen ones, simplifying the view for administrators with several cards issued. If a manager also wants to see cancelled cards, they can remove the filter and have the whole picture.
Updated Business Account membership flow. We redesigned our onboarding flow to make it easier for team members to request or be invited to access the Business Account details of a workspace.
Colour pattern for categories and subcategories. Subcategories are now labelled with the same colour as the parent category they are assigned to. If a parent category, “Travel”, has a green label, for example, the “Train Tickets” subcategory will also be coloured green. This facilitates readability and organization.
Treatment of unassigned transactions. Users can now manage bills by filtering them for transactions or bills with no allocated team member – tagged as “Unassigned”. This makes for a more effortless administration of accounting procedures.
Optimized screen for employees. Team members with an employee role now only see the tabs they can access: Transactions, Cards and Accounting. Furthermore, even though those tabs will be available, certain sub-tabs, such as Counterparties and Categories in Transactions and Export in Accounting, will be limited. Employees will not be able to issue or manage Cards as well. This gives more security to account owners and a cleaner workspace for employees.
The bug that kept users from editing transaction categories straight from the overview tab was fixed.
Our developers solved the bug causing the app to crash when some users switched between workspaces or out of the Accounting tab.
Some users could not see their cash positions for the week before in the Overview tab, only for longer timespan filters. Our tech team fixed this bug.
When a user requested an Accounting export, the download was shown to every teammate in that workspace. To enhance privacy, we now only notify and present the report to the user who has requested it.
