Starting today, Airbank is called Friday Finance
This year was an eye-opener for us in many ways. We always trusted our vision of simplifying finance for entrepreneurs, but our rapid growth in such a short time frame was more than we ever imagined. Building from 0, in one year we received $20M of funding, hired 60 new employees and, most importantly, welcomed 1,000s of users in our software.
Leveraging open banking was a key strategic choice we made early on. It allows our users to set up an account and fundamentally improve their finance operations in less time than anywhere else. But our ambition has long surpassed our initial offering.
We are not a bank; we are the unified finance management platform for Europe. Businesses don't come to us to get an IBAN, but to improve how they run their finances - saving time, money and gaining insights they can't find anywhere else. So it feels natural to move away from a label that has the side effect of associating us with the disjointed systems we are poised to disrupt.
Our software brings relief to our users. We want them to claim back all time lost on manual, repetitive tasks. We want them to rely on us to move, monitor and improve their finances, with as little effort as possible.
As the manifestation of our relentless focus on continuously improving, and our expanded vision of what value we want to add with our financial management platform, we claim the name Friday Finance.
Friday is the day to look at the past and feel proud. It's a day to look to the future and feel confident. And a day to look at the present and feel good. It’s a perfect bridge between our journey and what we offer.
